Meet in the morning and prepare for an exciting journey to the Gobi Desert. We'll either take a flight or travel overland in a 4x4 Japanese jeep, depending on availability. Please note that the domestic flight operates only twice a week. If the flight is unavailable on Day 1, we'll embark on an 8-9 hour overland drive with lunch en route. Upon arrival, check into a local hotel. In the evening, you can explore Dalanzadgad town at your leisure.
Embark on a 5-day adventure through the breathtaking landscapes of the Gobi Desert, starting and ending in Ulaanbaatar. This unique journey offers the rare opportunity to witness the stunning Khongor sand dunes blanketed in snow, the thick ice formations in Yol Gorge, and the mesmerizing winter sunset over Bayanzag, known as the Flaming Cliffs.
You'll stay in warm and cozy homestays and guesthouses, experiencing authentic Mongolian hospitality in the heart of the desert. Feel the warmth of the traditional Mongolian clothing, "Deel," and the might of a two-humped Bactrian camel as you explore this enchanting land.
The Gobi comes alive under the snow and rain, transforming into a vibrant and ever-changing landscape, unlike any other desert in the world. Join us to experience the frost and beauty of the Gobi Desert like never before.

Trip plan
This morning, we'll set off on a 1-hour drive to Yol Gorge, a stunning, picturesque location nestled in the Gurvan Saikhan Mountains. You'll have the opportunity to hike through the canyon, where the valley is often covered in thick ice. Afterward, we'll enjoy lunch at a nearby nomadic family or guest house. In the afternoon, we'll continue our journey with a 3-4 hour drive to the Khongor Sand Dunes. Upon arrival, check in at your homestay, followed by dinner and overnight accommodation.
Today, we'll travel to Bayanzag, also known as the Flaming Cliffs, with a 2-3 hour drive. Upon arrival, we'll have lunch at a guest house or with a nomadic family. Afterward, we'll visit Bayanzag, a significant paleontological site where the first dinosaur fossils and eggs were discovered by American explorer Roy Chapman Andrews. In the late afternoon, we'll continue our journey to Dalanzadgad town for dinner and an overnight stay.
Depending on your departure day, you have the option to catch a one-hour flight back to Ulaanbaatar, available twice a week. Alternatively, you can travel overland for 8 to 9 hours, with a lunch stop along the way. You'll arrive in Ulaanbaatar in the evening, where you'll be transferred to your accommodation. This marks the end of our services.
