Have breakfast at the hotel and meet with your guide and driver at your hotel lobby at 08:00, we'll head to the Mongol Nomadic Heritage Center. Drive to the Mongol Nomadic Heritage Center, located just outside the city 50 km away in Argalant soum, Tuv province. The center showcases the traditional lifestyle of Mongolian nomads and provides a glimpse into their rich cultural heritage.
Activities at Mongol Nomadic Heritage Center:
Visit Traditional Gers (Yurts): Explore the authentic Mongolian gers, traditional portable dwellings used by nomads for centuries. Learn about their construction, layout, and significance in nomadic life.
Nomadic Cultural Exhibition: Discover exhibits that display traditional clothing, tools, and artifacts used by nomadic families throughout history. Gain insights into their daily activities, such as herding, milking, and traditional crafts.
Participate in Traditional Activities: Engage in hands-on experiences, such as making dairy products like airag (fermented horse milk), trying your hand at traditional crafts like felt-making, or learning how to play traditional Mongolian games.
Enjoy Traditional Mongolian Cuisine: Savor a delicious lunch featuring typical Mongolian dishes like buuz (dumplings), khuushuur (fried meat pastry), and aaruul (dried curd).
Afternoon: Meeting with Real Nomads:
Arrive at the nomadic family's ger and receive a warm welcome from the family members. Learn about their daily life, traditions, and customs from your guide, who will act as an interpreter. Witness the nomads herding their livestock, such as horses, sheep, yaks, or goats. You can join them in their daily activities and gain a hands-on understanding of nomadic herding practices.
Enjoy Traditional Hospitality: Experience the genuine hospitality of the nomadic family as they offer you dairy products, tea, or even some homemade snacks.
Evening: Say farewell to the nomadic family and head back to Ulaanbaatar, filled with unforgettable memories and a deeper appreciation for the nomadic way of life.
