Tsagaan Sar Travels: A Beloved Traveler's Photo Diary
In a land where tradition dances hand in hand with modernity, our adventurous, gorgeous, and brave Premium Traveller, Ms. Shreemoyee S, embarked on an unforgettable journey through Mongolia during the auspicious time of Tsagaan Sar (White Month). Cloaked in the elegant attire of the Mongolian "Deel," she radiated beauty and grace as she delved into the heart of this vibrant culture.
Between February 7th and 11th, Ms. Shreemoyee immersed herself in the rich tapestry of Mongolian customs and celebrations. As the country prepared to usher in the Lunar New Year from February 10th to 12th, she found herself amidst the warmth and festivity of Tsagaan Sar, a time-honored tradition that holds a special place in the hearts of Mongolians.
On the first day of Tsagaan Sar, Ms. Shreemoyee ventured to the picturesque Argalant soum in the Tuv province, where she was graciously welcomed into the home of a local nomadic family. Amidst the backdrop of snow-capped mountains and endless skies, she partook in the timeless rituals of Tsagaan Sar, sharing in the joy of new beginnings and the bonds of kinship.
But Ms. Shreemoyee's journey didn't end there. With a spirit of adventure and curiosity, she immersed herself in the wonders of Mongolia's natural landscape. From participating in a New Year's Eve cooking class to exploring the rugged beauty of Terelj National Park and the pristine wilderness of Hustai National Park, she embraced every moment with boundless enthusiasm.
One of the highlights of Ms. Shreemoyee's journey was the chance encounter with the first baby animals of the season in the nomadic family's care. From playful baby goats to curious foals, they are the miracle of life unfolding against the backdrop of the Mongolian steppe.
As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. So, without further ado, we invite you to enjoy the breathtaking photo diary captured by the talented Ms. Zaya (our beloved tour guide).
